Oh, I forgot to mention that I am using PacComm's TNC-2 Compatible
Release 5.0 firmware in the MFJ-1270 TNC.  It has many features
available to support APRS and lets you connect a GPS to a regular
TNC through the RS-232 serial connector to capture the data to
send in a beacon.
