The linux modems are in the kernel and can be downloaded at
ftp://ftp.kernel.org
the documentation of the drivers are included with the source
make sure you can decomprese a tar.gz file as that is the standard
compression for unix like os
the latest stabel version is 2.2.12 and experimental versions start with
2.3.x
