I have the TAL radios up and running now. Web browsing is great today. The only problem is with my e-mail. Eudora can't get my mail off of the tapr.org mail server. Eudora is on my Win95 machine that gets its LAN internet feed via IP masquerading in my 486-80 Linux machine. Netscape works fine on the same machine so I guess I have over looked something. Not sure what is taking place since Eudora worked when I was using a PPP dialup connection on the same Linux machine with IP masq. Otherwise, things seem to be working fine. Think I have had enough fun for one day. Time to kick back and relax this evening. Tom, it may be too late but I will try to finish up the addendum to my article and will send it to you tomorrow evening. Eudora can't get my mail off of the > tapr.org mail server. Eudora is on my Win95 machine that gets its LAN Joe, I believe the reason you can't connect to the POP server on tapr.org is because of a missing DNS entry for your system. I see where you attempted to connect to the POP server, but the system refused the connection because there is no A record for hamgate.oknet1.net. I've added a temporary entry for your system to the hosts file on tapr.org, so give it another try. You'll need to talk to the folks at NET1 about getting the DNS issue fixed. Never did get the static routes added in the router at the ISP. I am using RIP to supply the hidden addresses to the Cisco router. I decided to download the latest version of Netscape Navigator so that I could replace Netscape 3.0 on my WIN 95 machine. The ftp was started around 6:30 AM. The 10 meg file was downloaded in less than 20 minutes with a speed of 12K + per second. Not too shabby. The TAL book says that if you get 8K or better, things are working fine.
