October 12, 1995 There seems to be a little confusion about the Kansas Band Plan, so I have prepared the following information to provide up to date info on the band plan for the State of Kansas for 2-meters, 222 MHz, and 440 MHz. Please forward any questions concerning the plan to your section KDCC representative: NEKS - WZ0M @ WZ0M SEKS - NU0Z @ N0RLR NCKS - vacant SCKS - W0EB @ W0CFY NWKS - WA0VJR @ WA0VJR SWKS - WD5IUZ @ WD5IUZ Coordinator - WK5M @ WK5M.#NEKS.KS.USA.NOAM This band plan was developed in 1991 in cooperation with the Kansas Amateur Repeater Council and modified in June 1995. The responsible organization for coordination is the Kansas Packet Group through a committee named the Kansas Digital Coordinating Committee (KDCC). The appointed chairman of the KDCC is Karl Medcalf (WK5M). ---------------------------------------- 2-meter band-plan 144.91 - As needed 144.93 - DX spotting systems 144.95 - TCP/IP 144.97 - DX Cluster (local access) 144.99 - BBS user access frequency 145.01 - Local area network 145.03 - Direct connect communication (Nodes and permanent digipeaters are discouraged on this frequency.) 145.05 - Local area network 145.07 - Medium speed InterLAN network (up to 9600 baud).
