The file NU2MG30.ZIP contains three text files (NU2MG30.TXT, MAPERRS1.TXT,
and README.TXT) and two QBASIC programs (NU2MGA30.BAS and NU2MGB30.BAS) 
which are used to extract mapping data from the NEW (mastered  7/95) 
USGS 1:2,000,000 Scale Optional Format CDrom. They combine several
APRS map making programs written by others and some new code which allows 
preparation of .DAT and .MAP files for APRSdos. NU2MGA30.BAS and NU2MGB30.BAS 
are updated and revised versions with additional features and improved 
conversion accuracy. They should be used to replace programs previously 
distributed as NU_2MEGA.ZIP and NU_2MEGB.ZIP.

To extract the files place NU2MG30.ZIP in a directory named \MAPMAKIN
and execute "pkunzip nu2mg30"

The text file README.TXT explains the purpose of the programs and gives a
sample script of a map development run.

The text file MAPERRS1.TXT addresses coordinate conversion errors and 
procedures for error reduction, if necessary.

The QBASIC files NU2MGA30.BAS and NU2MGB30.BAS are the executable program
files.

To run, both programs must be in the same directory. "qbasic/run nu2mga30" at
the DOS prompt will start program execution.  NU2MGB30.BAS will be 
automatically loaded and executed upon completion of NU2MGA30.BAS.
