My name is Dean Rachwitz, and my call is K7ADN. I enjoy the building and tinkering side of amateur radio as much as operating. I've wanted to get into APRS for several years, but just haven't gotten around to it. The Mic-E seems ideally suited to what I'd like to do with APRS - that is, have a dedicated radio/GPS setup in my vehicle for reporting my position and requiring a minimum of hardware. Here's my question: The Mic-E kit is no longer produced, apparently, so is there a replacement, or do I look for a used unit? Your help is very much appreciated. 73, Dean K7ADN --- You are currently subscribed to mic-e as: lyris.mic-e@tapr.org To unsubscribe send a blank email to leave-mic-e-2619I@lists.tapr.org Questions regarding the SIG go to the SIG administrator: wa1lou@tapr.org From bounce-mic-e-2619@lists.tapr.org Fri Mar 29 16:02:22 2002 Received: from lists.tapr.org (lists.tapr.org [204.17.217.24]) by tapr.org (8.9.3/8.9.3/1.13) with SMTP id QAA09910 for ; Fri, 29 Mar 2002 16:02:22 -0600 (CST) Message-ID: From: "Betty Patterson" To: "TAPR MIC-E & PIC-E Special Interest Group" References: Subject: [mic-e] Re: Greetings & a question Date: Fri, 29 Mar 2002 15:02:04 -0700 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-MIMEOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2600.0000 X-OriginalArrivalTime: 29 Mar 2002 22:00:43.0851 (UTC) FILETIME=[2C58D1B0:01C1D76D] List-Unsubscribe: List-Software: Lyris Server version 3.0 List-Subscribe: List-Owner: X-List-Host: Tucson Amateur Packet Radio Reply-To: "TAPR MIC-E & PIC-E Special Interest Group" X-Message-Id: <002e01c1d76d$5ce1e600$e594a1d8@betty> Sender: bounce-mic-e-2619@lists.tapr.org Precedence: bulk Hi Dean..Look at byonics.com..he has the Tiny Track which is in a kit..small board and will do the same job as MicE. 73, Jack...W9JIU --- You are currently subscribed to mic-e as: lyris.mic-e@tapr.org To unsubscribe send a blank email to leave-mic-e-2619I@lists.tapr.org Questions regarding the SIG go to the SIG administrator: wa1lou@tapr.org
